Deep Clean — Glass Carefully remove the glass from the base and submerge it in 90%+ ISO. After soaking, rinse thoroughly with water to remove all traces of alcohol before your next session. Allow the glass to fully dry before reattaching to the base and never let water seep into the bottom chamber of the glass.

Base Gently clean the gold threads on the base using a Quartzaver tip or cotton swab soaked in 90%+ ISO. Clean the airpath between the chamber and the glass and never let moisture reach the gold threads.

How Often Should I Clean? A good rule of thumb is to deep clean your Peak Pro once a week — or more frequently with heavy use. The chamber should be soaked in ISO any time you notice excess flooding or get a rainbow light response from the device.

Don't panic — this is one of the most common Puffco issues and in most cases it's a quick fix. A red and white blinking light on your Puffco Peak Pro is a chamber connection error, meaning the base is having trouble making proper electrical contact with your 3DXL Chamber.

Here's how to fix it, in order:

Step 1 — Remove and Reattach the Chamber Start simple. Remove the chamber, inspect it, and screw it back in firmly. Sometimes a slightly loose chamber is all it takes to trigger the error.

Step 2 — Clean the Gold Contact Pins This is the most common culprit. Residue or moisture on the gold contact pins on both the chamber and the base prevents proper electrical connection. Use a cotton swab dipped in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol to clean both sets of pins thoroughly. Allow everything to fully air dry before reattaching — never reassemble while still damp.

Step 3 — Reset the Device If cleaning doesn't do it, hold the power button down for 20 seconds until the device powers off completely and restarts. This clears any software glitches that may be mimicking a connection error.

Step 4 — Check for a Firmware Update Open the Puffco Connect app, navigate to device settings, and check if a firmware update is available. Outdated firmware can occasionally trigger false connection errors.
